Welcome to the The PRIDE Academy (formerly the Young People’s Academy) website. I am thrilled to be working with everyone in our community, and look forward to seeing us all triumph with perseverance during this exciting chapter of the academy as we move into our brand new purpose-built school in April 2022.

The new Free School will offer extensive facilities including specialist science labs, well-equipped art and design and technology rooms in a bright and spacious building, as well as an indoor sports hall and an outdoor multi use games area. Our new building, varied curriculum and celebration of individuality allows us to take PRIDE in all that we do.

We hope that you find our website useful, but I encourage you to visit us to experience our culture; please contact us to make an appointment, and we will endeavour to support this around the current government guidelines.

Laurie Cornwell - Principal

We aim for our young people to lead a happy and holistically prosperous life by developing the skills for them to move successfully along their life journeys. This includes academic outcomes that reflect the best of their abilities, being able to sustain relationships and employment and maintaining healthy households.

The school has a good understanding and built a rapport with my son. He has been happy and well cared for to the point where he has met his full potential and thrived. The right balance and structure has provided for my son’s complex needs. Thank you for your continuous support.  Parent
