Celebrating Year 11 GCSE Fine Art and Photography

The PRIDE Academy’s Year 11 GCSE Fine Art and Photography learners are celebrating the completion of an impressive collection of creative work following two years of dedication, experimentation and artistic development.

Throughout the course, learners explored a wide range of ideas, techniques and creative processes before refining them into their final outcomes. They have now successfully completed both their coursework and externally set assignments, marking the culmination of months of hard work and perseverance.

As part of their final assessment, learners undertook a demanding ten-hour practical examination, producing final pieces that showcased their creativity, technical skills and individual artistic style. The result is a vibrant exhibition featuring a diverse range of thoughtful and highly personal work across both Fine Art and Photography.

Their work was displayed for a visiting external moderator as part of the GCSE assessment process, creating a gallery celebrating the talent, imagination and progress of this year’s cohort.

Everyone at The PRIDE Academy is incredibly proud of what the learners have achieved. Their commitment and willingness to challenge themselves have shone through every stage of the course, with the finished pieces reflecting not only their artistic ability but also the confidence they have developed along the way.

Families, friends and staff will have another opportunity to admire the exhibition on GCSE Results Day this summer, when learners can celebrate both their artwork and their achievements together.
