Tea and Talk for World Mental Health Day
Tuesday 10th October was World Mental Health Day. Here at The PRIDE Academy we held a ‘Tea and Talk’ for both parents and students allowing a safe space for them to communicate their thoughts and feelings alongside enjoying some tea and biscuits.
There were puzzles, activities, colouring to make it easier for us to explore our feelings and how we can ask for help when needed. Overall it was a very positive day, where both parents and students were able to express their concerns, worries and a place for them to unwind.
We are looking forward to having more events such as ‘Tea and Talk’ to raise awareness of mental health and the help that is available for both parents and students.
